Curry and Thompson’s teammates set the stage, and those two each buried a triple to finish it off. You can’t ask for better teamwork.

Game 2 is Sunday in Oakland.

The bad news for the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday was an 89-104 loss to the Golden State Warriors.

It must be so comforting for Steve Kerr and Golden State Warriors to win Game 1. He was a douchebag for doing that, and most people around the NBA hated him after that.

Switching on defense requires a tremendous amount of concentration, discipline, and communication. “This has been our team the last couple of years”. It contributed to the Cavs turning into the No. 1 offense in the league in terms of efficiency over the last two months of the season. Strength in Numbers put up 45 points compared with 10 for Not Quite Enough. Right now, the Cavs have to prove that they can beat the Warriors physically, strategically and, well, mentally. However, Golden State’s identity is made specifically to counter Cleveland’s, a piece of information that should worry the Cavs faithful.

One of the biggest is that the Warriors somehow survived their two top scorers both having what figures to be their worst games of the series.

“We had some breakdowns”, said LeBron. “You just know other guys need to step up”. “If coach feels like we need to play faster, then we do”. With these two comeback kids playing alongside Ohio’s favorite son, Golden State is anything but a lock.

And these Warriors are not to be trifled with.

Good luck getting in on that action.

As if the Cavaliers needed more things to fret.

Warriors forward Harrison Barnes had the best Player ROI in Game 1. With only one player in motion while the others watch, it wasn’t that difficult.

“He’s got this quiet confidence about him”, Thompson said of Livingston. James went 2 for 4 on 3s, out-shooting Thompson (1 for 5).

The tall, skinny 30-year-old out of Peoria, Ill. – who played for the Clippers, Miami, Oklahoma City, Washington, Charlotte, Milwaukee, Cleveland and Brooklyn before the Warriors picked him up last year – even looked like a leader.

“You don’t win championships without the entire squad coming in and making an impact on games”, Curry said.

The Warriors slowly adjusted by sending Andrew Bogut and Draymond Green to challenge shots at the rim, which made life slightly tougher for James. They’ve only had a year to work on it. Iguodala had no turnovers and one foul.

NBA Finals Game 1 was done.

Now the pressure is on Cavs rookie head coach Tyronn Lue to make adjustments.

“I didn’t feel any need to change our lineup for Game 1 of the series”, said Kerr. “When we get stops, we just got to keep pushing”.

What a strange way to open a hotly-anticipated series.

With Warriors sharpshooters, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson going cold, Shaun Livingston, Andre Iguodala, and Leandro Barbosa came off the bench to spearhead a decisive 15-0 run at the end of the third and beginning of the fourth quarter.
“And when you go through so much in life and his career, I mean, it makes stepping up in the game easy”.

“Obviously, with my injury, I lost a lot of athleticism”, he said, adding he tried to “pick and choose my spots and just use my height to my advantage”. “It’s better that way”. But the Cubs are only a speck of a culture. They also met in Los Angeles when Hornacek was in town for his daughter’s graduation from Southern California, then flew to New York for another discussion. They’ll look to rebound in Game 2 on Sunday night. “I’m not worried about that”.
