Kanye West met President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday after he was spotted at Trump Tower in New York City. This marks Kanye’s second public appearance since he was discharged from the hospital last month after being diagnosed with severe dehydration and exhaustion.

According to reports, West was suffering from insomnia in the weeks leading up to his hospitalization. Not only was the rapper in the middle of his Saint Pablo tour, but he was also still traumatized by the unfortunate experience from October when his wife Kim Kardashian West had been tied up and robbed in a hotel from Paris.

Trump spoke to reporters with the rapper by his side confessing journalists that West had been his friend for a long time.

The famous rapper refused to clarify the reason of their meeting and ignored all the questions about whether he plans on performing at Trump’s inauguration. He also ignored a journalist that asked whether he wishes he had voted for Trump.  However, during a show in San Jose, Kanye revealed a 25-minute political screed where he said that if he’d voted in the 2016 election, he ‘would’ve voted for Trump.’

According to spokeswoman Hope Hicks, West, who has mentioned Trump in his lyrics, asked for a quick meeting with Trump.

Kanye West, explained a few hours later the purpose of his visit to Trump Tower on Tuesday. The celebrity said he wanted to meet with the president to discuss ‘multicultural issues,’ including ‘bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums and violence in Chicago.’
