Ronda Rousey will be out of the limelight this week as she prepares for her UFC 207 fight, so not much will be heard from her.
In preparation for the fight, which will be her first in over a year, she has done what can be a called a media blackout, only giving a few quotes before her bantamweight fight against current champion Amanda Nunes.
There won’t be any of the usual open workouts or press conferences in what is deemed one of the biggest returns in the history of the sport.
She only did a couple of photos during the TV show “UFC Embedded” and spoken just enough to get her point across.
“I don’t care about anything except for winning this fight and I’m not spending energy on anything else,” she said.
She also points out that her upcoming bout is taking place on a Friday night, which is peculiar, considering that the staple night for UFC pay per views is Saturday. This is most like due to events that are programmed in Las Vegas, Nevada, where the fight is held, for New Year’s Eve.
In the same TV show we got a look at her opponent, Amanda Nunes, who took a break for the holidays and did some chores, laundry included and a preview of the bantamweight championship match between current Dominick Cruz, who is attempting a weight cut, and number one contender Cody Garbrandt who goes out for some ice skating.
