On Sunday, at the Detroit Auto Show, VW revealed a new concept car. The vehicle is called Volkswagen ID Buzz and is electric.
The brand didn’t say whether the vehicle can be purchased or not, but by 2020 it hopes to launch more electric models. Its goal is to sell more than 1 million electric vehicles per year until 2025.
It seems like its main focus this years will be only the development of electric vehicles. “We are making electric mobility the new trademark of Volkswagen,” revealed the brand.
In September, the German brand announced VW electric concept car.
The microbus is packed with a lot of power. It has 369 horsepower with two electric motors. It also has a 270-mile range. The electric motors are placed one in the back and one in the front. Autonomous driving is also available. In only 5 seconds, the microbus can reach 60 miles an hour.
The driver’s seat can be rotated to face the back and the steering wheel can be introduced in the dashboard.
The new model is much better than the ones released last time, its power definitely beats the other.
The van is really spacious as well, with eight seats for passengers and enough space for luggage.
The steering wheel is touch-sensitive, while an “I.D. Box” is available and features a control panel and a detachable Bluetooth sound system.
Volkswagen thinks the concept of the van is the key to the future, marking the beginning of a new era.
The van is the first electric vehicle that features full autonomous driving mode.
VW does not want to build only fun cars, but ones that are really efficient too.
