Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will hand out their divorce to a private judge

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, one of the most beautiful, brilliant and influential Hollywood couples, will appeal to a private judge to keep their divorce away from the media and the public, declared the two in an official statement sent on Monday to CNN.

The two actors have reached an agreement that all documents and procedures will be confidential in order to ‘protect the right of privacy of their children and family’, the joint statement showed.

Angie’s and Brad’s lawyers could not be contacted by Reuters to confirm the information.

The beautiful actress, the winner of several Oscar awards, has filed the divorce papers in September in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing the ‘irreconcilable differences’ between her and her husband, according to the documents brought in court.

The breakup came suddenly, after an incident in a private plane, when Brad Pitt apparently lost his temper in front of one or more children of the couple.

Angelina Jolie asked for the total custody of the couple’s six children, with supervised visiting rights for Pitt. According to the actress, the date on which the two have separated was September 15.

Jolie and Pitt, known worldwide under the collocation ‘Brangelina’ were one of the most visible couples in the entertainment world because of their beauty, blockbuster movies and their activism. The two got married in 2014, after spending a decade together.

In November, Pitt was cleared of charges of child abuse and asked for joint custody.

The joint statement of the two stars comes a month after a judge refused Brad Pitt’s request to organize an emergency hearing in which he expressed his request that all the documents and proceedings relating to the divorce should be made confidential, according to CNN.
