Matthew McConaughey gave an interview to Channel F1. Amongst others, he said what he thinks about the president.

The 47-year-old is currently promoting his movie “Gold” and he discussed about it.

Donald Trump was one topic that was brought into discussion. He opened up about the way Hollywood has been towards the president.

Matthew thinks that it’s time to give him a break. He feels like everybody, especially actors, are always saying something about him, but it needs to come to an end.

“Well, they don’t have a choice now, he’s our president,” said the actor.

He thinks it’s time to move on and leave this attitude behind. Everybody should work to make the next four years as productive as possible.

McConaughey admits that these times haven’t been necessarily easy, but the hate has been going on for way too long.

Although some don’t agree with his principles, he thinks Americans should give him a time to see what he does next. Maybe his actions will be different than what he declares.

The actor’s interview was revealed on Sunday.

McConaughey is not the only one that weighed on the matter and said that Hollywood needs to stop.

Zoe Saldana, for example, said that Trump has been bullied by Hollywood. This attitude towards him is what pushed people to vote him.

Mark Wahlberg has the same opinion.

While some think it’s time to support the president, other’s fight against his decisions. Following the refugee ban, many artists condemned him and expressed what they felt publicly.
