The actor will finally return to the screen after a while. He will play a fashion designer.

He will collaborate with director Paul Thomas Anderson, with whom he has worked before. For their collab on “There Will Be Blood”, the actor won an Oscar for Best Actor.

Focus Features held a press conference last Wednesday. The studio gave details about the movie and Day-Lewis’ role.

The film will be set in the 20th century, more precisely, in the 50’s. The drama will evolve around the fashion world of London.

“The story illuminates the life behind the curtain of an uncompromising dressmaker commissioned by royalty and high society,” revealed the studio.

The shootings already begun. A picture of the 59-year-old Academy Award winning actor is available. He has grey hair and is in a cemetery.

The designer portrayed by the actor is not known yet. Many believe the movie is about Charles James. Vulture thought so last year, when the production was announced.

At first, New York was believed to be the place where the drama takes place and that’s how they came with the theory about James. Now that it takes place in London, it is less likely that James will be the pictured one.

Lesley Manville and Vicky Krieps will also star alongside Day-Lewis.

Mark Bridges will dress the cast. He won an Oscar for his amazing work.

The film will be out at the end of this year. Maybe it will have luck and will receive nominations at the Academy Awards.
