Ashley Graham is changing the way models with extra pounds are seen. She has a successful career and shows that women with curves can model as well.

Last year, she made history when she was the first plus size model to cover a special swimsuit issue of a magazine. The “Sports Illustrated” appearance marked a really important moment. Since then, the model has been featured in great fashion campaigns and magazines.

Last month, Graham, along other models, starred on the cover of “Vogue”.

Now, she made another history-worthy moment. She surprised everyone when she appeared on the runway during the NYFW.

The model strutted the runway for Michael Kors. She looked gorgeous in a black, form-fitting dress that featured a high slit. She also had a big fur and a black bag.

Ashley revealed backstage that she is extremely nervous, but really excited in the same time. This was her biggest fashion show and meant a lot for her.

It seems like the way plus size women are seen in society has changed a lot. Graham reached a major milestone. Designers are also open to working with them.

Christian Siriano made a similar decision, casting five models that are plus size. Prabal Gurung will feature a plus-size model in an ad campaign.

Graham thinks that fashion has evolved so much and is so much more diverse. It is the embodiment of arts, that hold no barrier, no differences based on race, sex or shape and size.

This is a milestone reached both by the model and the fashion world. We are looking forward to seeing more of this in the future runways.
