Prince’s wife talks about his drug abuse.
Mayte Garcia is preparing a memoir that touches the most sensitive issues about the life of music legend, Prince, who left this world last year.
Prince married dancer Mayte Garcia in 1996. During the same year, on October 16, she was giving birth to their son.
But, unfortunately, they lost the baby just one week after birth, because he suffered from Pfeiffer syndrome.
Their marriage lasted until 1999.
So, in her autobiography, Mayte will open about Price never getting over their son death.
“I do not know how someone can overcome it. No, I never did”, she says.
Also, Mayte referred to Price drug abuse – a much-awaited subject for the fans of the star, who have previously learned that his death was caused by his drug addiction.
“I’ve never seen him taking drugs,” she said. “He didn’t want me to see him. I’m sure he knew what reaction will it cause me to have. On the other hand, yes, there were times when he said to me that he is sick or has headaches.”
Looking back with maturity and recalling these episodes now, Mayte realized that Prince problem was about something else.
The most suspect episode happened just weeks after their wedding when the artist’s bodyguard called her to announce that Prince was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state. He got his stomach pumped.
Price explanation was that he mixed aspirin with wine.
Unfortunately, Prince could not escape the drug vice, which brought his end.
