The solar panel farm can considerably reduce tons of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.

Everyone loves panda bears so no wonder the founders of this solar panel farm decided to build their park in the shape of a… panda bear.

The Chinese engineers wanted to pay tribute to a globally valued mammal species and this is how China’s newest solar plant took the form of a panda bear.

The solar park was built in Datons, Shanxi, and it’s called Panda Green Energy

According to Ubergizmo, the park is capable of producing 50 MW, an amount of energy enough for more than 8.000 homes.

The solar panel farm can considerably reduce tons of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.

Also, the project will also play an important role in encouraging sustainable development, especially among young people.

The intention to quickly gain the attention of the general public is also the reason why the company has associated with the image of a panda bear, one of the most adorable and popular animals in the world.

Researchers used two types of solar panels to build this giant panda – the white, composed of thin photovoltaic cells, and the black ones of monocrystalline solar cells.

The main goal of the experts is to create a solar plant that able to produce 100 MW and 3.2 billion kWh of solar energy for the next 25 years, writes Ubergizmo.

Although this design may seem rather eccentric and useless, sparks interest in solar panels and their utility.

Researchers want to extend the project even further and plan to set up 100 solar power plants in the next five years.
