It’s been eleven years since Meryl Streep portrayed the role of the feared Runway editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada.
However, that demanding and unsatisfied woman that we all loved/hated might be seen with new eyes now after the producers have released a scene they have deleted at that time.
The scene when Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is desperately struggling to leave the fashion event in order to get to her boyfriend’s anniversary was followed by an argument between Miranda and her husband, who got a little bit tipsy at the party and made a fool out of his wife.
“When are we going to eat? (James Naughton). It was a night to remember: three people didn’t recognize me, someone else called me Priestly and now the bartender refuses to serve me drinks.”
“Why do not you bring me a drink?”, asked Naughton to Irv Ravitz, who portrayed the role of Tibor Feldman, the president of Elias-Clark.
Although Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt) allowed Andy to leave a little bit earlier, Andy witnessed the entire thing and she even interfered in order to “save” Ravitz.
The gesture was appreciated by Miranda, who a few moments later looked at Andy and thanked her.
